At Rougham Church of England Primary School we are proud to welcome all learners into our inclusive school community.
It is our vision that every child should let their light shine and we therefore endeavour to make every effort to achieve maximum inclusion of all pupils whilst meeting pupils’ individual needs. As a Church of England School, Christian foundations uphold the important values of respect, compassion and friendship. These important values underpin our positive approach to inclusion.
At Rougham Primary School we provide for children with Special Education Needs & Disability (SEND) in a variety of ways.
We use quality teaching within our lessons and differentiate accordingly. Our teachers and teaching assistants are trained to use specific interventions and strategies to improve a child’s learning. We understand the importance of helping children to raise confidence, esteem and social interaction by running weekly nurture group sessions. We support parental opinion as valuable to a child’s education and we encourage child involvement, giving them a voice stating what they feel would benefit them in school. We apply a person centred approach to support our SEN children.
