February 2025 – All of the classes completed activities or lessons linked to Safer Internet Day. Our Year 5 digital leaders did an excellent job presenting a very informative assembly to the whole school. The theme for this year is ‘Too good to be true? Protecting yourself and others against scams online’ and the children have accessed age appropriate activities to help them understand what a scam is, how to identify them and what they should do if they see one when they are online at school or at home. The Safer Internet Day newsletter that was sent home can also be accessed on our school website under the parent tab – online safety.
You will find previous online safety newsletters there too as well as links to useful websites that can help to navigate the ever changing online world with children. We would also like to remind you all about the Smartphone Free Childhood group that was highlighted in the October e-safety newsletter.
If you would like to find out more about the group visit smartphonefreechildhood.co.uk.
