Whole School Birdwatching Day

JANUARY 2026 – Our first enrichment day for 2026 was our ever-popular bird day. We started the day with an assembly to refresh our bird spotting skills – I don’t think there are many children in the school that can’t tell the difference between a buzzard and a red kite, and lots of them are still able to distinguish between blackbirds and black birds! We had a very muddy whole school bird spotting walk but it was well worth it when we were lucky enough to see two red kites hunting on our way back to school. The rest of the day was spent making bird feeders in house groups and then completing different bird activities in classes, including dissecting owl pellets in Year 5.
